One Friday evening, we found ourselves walking on the streets of Sheik Zayed road looking for a good Japanese restaurant to dine in. Browsing Zomato, Bento-ya Kitchen name’s had popped out. We then, decided to explore this restaurant and excited on what it offers.
The place is relatively confined compared to other restaurants we’ve been to; you don’t need to walk to be seated as the tables are just near the entrance. The ambience is not cozy but I will say that the area is well-lighted. There is another are on second floor but decided to be seated on the ground floor as we are starving.
The menu offers a lot of dishes, from appetizers, tempuras, rice bowls, ramen, sushi, sashimi, bento box and a lot more. Surely, if you’re on the mood to have a Japanese feast Bento-ya can accommodate your hunger. It is also worth mentioning that the prices are affordable. Appetizers ranges AED 30-40 and to main course from AED 50-70. We had Seafood Tantan Men which costs AED 58 and good for sharing.
We’re quite a bit full from eating when the Manager came to us and offered us a free dessert. How sweet is that?! He then served us the matcha ice cream on lemon custard desert which is fantastic.
If you’re on the hunt of a delectable Japanese food without really hurting your wallet, I would recommend Bento-ya kitchen. The portions are good for sharing and the cost is affordable. Plus points on good customer service and the servers are really attentive from the moment you enter until you exit the door.
